Masks 2 Ways Workshop

This class will teach you how to make two types of masks! The first mask will be a contoured style mask with choice of ear loop design. Flor will work with you to adapt the pattern to your particular choice. The second mask will be an origami style mask. These masks fit around the face and nose while giving you more space between the mask and your face as compared to the contoured mask. The instructor will walk you through the steps of making each mask and talk a little bit about material and design choices.

Materials: Basic sewing machine, cutting tools (mat, scissors/rotary cutter), marking tools. The Arts Center will have material to choose from or you can bring your own. Suggested material 100% tightly woven cotton and will want a light-colored fabric (100% cotton tightly woven) for the lining piece.

This is a beginner friendly class, but you will need to know how to sew curved seams and use a basic sewing machine in order to do this class.
